Why not catch a ballgame, too??

News story I ran across on KSDK:

"Busch Stadium Seeks to Enhance Food Selection during Ballgames"

Everyone knows peanuts, hot dogs, and Cracker Jacks are staples for any ballgame, but apparently now Busch is looking to expand its cuisine:

"The plan is to have a number of new dining options on the first level of the ballpark..."
--an Asian action portables station offering hearty Chinese food (sorry, I LOVE me some Chinese food, but can't see myself eating some egg drop soup or shrimp fried rice in my seat at the ballpark - what a mess that would be if the Cards ended the game with a walk off homer...)
--old fashioned peanut roaster to toast fresh peanuts (now THAT is bitch.)

"The Family Pavilion will offer kids meals, featuring a hot dog, bag of chips, a cookie and choice of milk or juice..." (*because milk is SUCH a good choice in 102 degree weather for your 3 year old who spills EVERYTHING...*)

The BBQ site within the ballpark will still make pulled pork and brisket sandwiches, but will also offer baked beans, hot roasted corn, BBQ wings, homemade coleslaw (*again with the BAD CHOICE in 102 degree weather, people!!*), and potato salad.

"For the health conscious Cardinals fan, stadium concessions will also feature grilled chicken, veggie burgers and burritos, salads, a BLT wrap and patty melts on rye."
Stacey's bitch: I'm all for eating healthy. I TRY to, but usually end up failing miserably. And I certainly won't complain about / bitch to people who DO always make it a point to be health conscious. That being said, in certain instances (*like a BALLGAME*), you HAVE to allow yourself a little treat...such as aforementioned FAT hot dogs, salty peanuts, a Pepsi as big as your head, and Cracker Jacks that are harder than your teeth!!!

Speaking of pigging out, my favorite line of the story came at the end:
"Management did not forget about those fans with a sweet tooth. The Red Bird Club will feature a cupcake bar with eight flavors of made-in-house cupcakes."

Cupcakes and baseball in one place? I think I've died and gone to heaven...
Thank you Cardinals. Thank you.
